Emma Cory

Emma has an extensive background leading project work and research for clients across a range of risk themes and geographies, including Latin America, ESG, compliance, political and regulatory risk.
Prior to joining the firm, she was head of geopolitical risk for EMEA and the Americas at HSBC, where she advised senior management on core geopolitical issues affecting strategy and operations. Emma also worked in the financial intelligence unit of HSBC, leveraging bank data and external geopolitical trends to provide insight into global networked financial crime activity affecting the firm.
Earlier in her career, Emma worked at several political risk consultancies, leading analysis, due diligence and advise for private equity, banking, technology and corporates clients.
She holds an MSc in globalisation and Latin American development from University College London and a bachelor’s degree in European studies with Spanish from Kings College.
