Peter Dahl Thruelsen

Peter brings a broad background from more than 25 years in the Danish Armed Forces, Danish Defense Intelligence Service and the Royal Danish Defence College, including several years in senior management functions. 

He has been deployed five times in international military operations and most recently served as director of the Ministerial Advisory Division in NATO Mission Iraq. 

Peter is an expert in geopolitics, security and war studies, conflict management, strategy and organizational development. He has worked on issues related to Russia, China, Afghanistan, Iraq, the Balkans and the Arctic, among others.

Peter holds a PhD in international politics from the University of Copenhagen, where he also gained his MA and BA in political science. Peter has written several journal articles and book chapters on conflict and conflict management.
