Dominic heads our UK Practice and takes a lead role in advising clients on India, the Middle East and North Africa. Dominic has more than 35 years of experience as a diplomat across the these regions and the Americas, most recently as the British high commissioner to India.

Dominic was knighted for services to diplomacy in 2012, after serving as the British ambassador to Libya, Egypt and Iraq. In these roles, he delivered policy advice to UK political leaders and ensured the delivery of British political, security, business and cultural objectives. 

Prior to his diplomatic career, Dominic worked as a journalist, educator and researcher in the Middle East, including in Lebanon, Jordan and the West Bank. He has also worked in the private sector.

Dominic holds a bachelor’s degree from Balliol College, Oxford, where he studied literae humaniores (Greek, Latin, ancient history and philosophy).

Dominic is a trustee of Orbis UK, an international non-profit bringing people together to transform lives through the prevention and treatment of blindness.
