Laila Manji

Laila leads MAP’s Foundations Practice and contributes to client engagements across the firm. She joined MAP in 2013 as a director of our Multilateral Practice in the New York office and is now based in Europe.

Laila has a background in security, humanitarian and peacebuilding issues. She joined MAP after working as a political and policy advisor in diverse organisations across commercial and non-profit contexts in the US, Europe and Africa.

Earlier in her career, Laila spent more than a decade working in the United Nations system, including in the Executive Office of UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, where she served first as a policy advisor in the strategic planning unit and then as special assistant to the Chef de Cabinet.

Laila holds an MPP from Harvard Kennedy School and a bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University of Manchester.
