Constantijn Van Oranje-Nassau

Constantijn is MAP’s director of digital technology and macro strategy. He has worked in both private and public sectors as an advisor on digital strategy, including to the European Commission and the Dutch Foreign Ministry.
He was previously head of the cabinet (chief of staff) for European Commission Vice-President Neelie Kroes, responsible for the European digital agenda, after having also served as advisor and deputy. He was attached to the Commission’s Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology, as advisor to the director general.
Before joining the cabinet, Constantijn was head of the information policy and economics team at RAND Europe and head of the Brussels office of the RAND Corporation.
Constantijn served in the Dutch Foreign Ministry for seven years, as advisor on European communication strategy. He previously worked as an associate analyst for Booz Allen & Hamilton in London, as trainee at the International Finance Corporation in Washington, DC and as cabinet member of commissioner Van de Broek at the European Commission.
Constantijn has an LLM from Leiden University and an MBA from INSEAD.
He is an ambassador at the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency and holds a number of board positions in charitable foundations in The Netherlands.
