Katrin Suder
Advisory Board Member
Katrin brings more than two decades of experience in strategy consulting and leadership, as well as a deep expertise in technology, digitalisation and corporate strategy.
She served as state secretary for the German Federal Ministry of Defence, where she was responsible for matters including armament, cyber and information technology, and planning.
Katrin was previously a director at management consulting firm McKinsey & Co., where she oversaw German and international consulting projects, with a focus on leading companies and institutions in the telecommunications, software and IT sector. Her projects spanned strategy, governance and organisation, and technology, as well as transformation and large-scale projects. Katrin also led several knowledge initiatives, especially focusing on diversity.
Katrin holds a PhD in computational neuroscience from the Ruhr University Bochum, a diploma in physics from RWTH Aachen University and a bachelor’s degree in German literature and theatre studies.
Katrin is the co-author of Das geopolitische Risiko (2022).
She serves as chairperson of the Advisory Council on Digitalisation to the German Federal Government and is on the boards of Cloudfare and Apleona. She also serves on the board of trustees of the Hertie School of Governance and Save the Children.
